Lewtrenchard Pre-School Group

Lewtrenchard Pre-School was established in 1994, originally based at Stowford Village Hall, we then moved to Lewdown Victory Hall. In January 2010 we were lucky enough to move the Pre-School into Lew Trenchard Primary School.
This has many benefits, one of which is that the children are familiar with the school and the teachers which makes the transition from Pre-School to Primary School better for both the children and the Primary School teachers

We are currently based in the main hall of the school. Near the end of the session we move to the key stage one classroom. This enables the children to familiarize themselves with the School environment, making the transition from Pre-School to Primary School less worrying for the children.

We are able to take a maximum of 16 children at any one time. We have three part time members of staff, two of whom hold NVQ level 3 and above, and one member of staff working towards NVQ level 2. The staff regularly attend courses to update themselves and keep up with ever changing policies.

Lewtrenchard Pre-School is a welcoming, friendly and safe environment for the children, providing quality education for the children living in the local community.
